We are a grocery wholesaler that has been operating in Western Canada for over a decade.
We are in search of a contract business development rep, to cover a 12 month maternity leave.
Focus will be on selling into an existing account base in Ontario. Specific area will be dependent on the successful applicant’s place of residence. You`ll be required to call on stores directly, so a vehicle and a willingness to travel is a must.
We offer an extensive portfolio of Organic, Natural, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Vegan, Fair-Trade, and Specialty/Gourmet lines, so a keen understanding of these types of products and trends within the food industry would be an asset.
We’re looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:
- a keen understanding of sales, and experience managing an account base, in addition to developing new business (prospecting/cold calling) and opening new accounts;
- strong base in mathematics, with an understanding of margins, as they relate to pricing and discounting;
- excellent organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (or their Apple equivalents); and
- strong attention to detail.
Possibility of staying on full time at the end of the contract, for the right person.
