Making the Switch to Natural Beauty Products.
Are you a passionate advocate for the environment and sustainability? If so, please join us as we engage our communities and create conversations that not only benefit the wellbeing of our bodies, but of our Earth as well. Our goal is to empower our shared consumers to make the switch, and it all starts from knowing what to look for. Making the transition to a natural routine is as much of a lifestyle choice as going vegan or dying your hair blonde, it really does take personal connection, support and engagement to feel confident in making the switch.
The main topics of awareness we are inviting people to engage in are:
- Reading the Labels: developing an unfamiliar new habit of turning the bottle or package over and deciphering the ingredients.
- Learning What’s What: Paraben, Sulfates and Phthalates. Going down the natural beauty rabbit hole.
- Don’t Assume: Reading the fine print.
- Shopping Smart: How to find the right product for you.
- Being Realistic: striking a balance is important, start with swapping out the easier items for natural alternatives.
About Jessie Gill:
Jessie Gill is a Certified Holistic Skin Therapist that has been in the beauty industry for over eighteen years, and has sold and applied sunscreen, lotion, and any number of beauty products for many years to many, many people. Never thinking for a second they might not be safe. In 2009 Jessie started researching what was being put into these products, we were selling products with no awareness as to what the potential pitfalls to our health and wellness could be.
Throughout the years we’ve learned that when it comes to the personal care industry, companies are allowed to use harmful ingredients and make their own judgements about safety.
Our mission is to empower you with information about ways we can all make the world healthier, along with safer products you can trust. Because we all deserve better.
Jessie has worked with companies in the past such as The Body Shop, Saje Natural Wellness, Keyano Aromatics. Currently, she is with Viva Organics, a locally made skincare line based out of Richmond, BC and is a proud member of the Beauty Council of Western Canada.
