In this seminar we will explore Chinese medicine concepts of emotional and mental health, including overcoming Seasonal Affective Disorder. We will discuss how trauma, stress, and negative emotions are stored in the body and identify ways to free up stagnation in our lives. We will discuss at the ancient concept of the heart, how it relates to our consciousness, and how nourishing our heart can improve our emotional wellbeing through the mind-body connection. Lastly, we will look at integrating lifestyle changes and treatment options according to your individual needs.

Presenter bio:

Falko Kriel holds a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, including extensive training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, qi gong, food therapy, and other healing modalities. He is a certified acupuncture detox specialist, having completed extended training at Vancouver’s Daytox and Onsite programs. He has experience with a wide variety of health conditions such as pain management, sports injuries, chronic fatigue, insomnia, women’s health, digestive health, cardiovascular disease, ENT disorders, immunological, and neurological conditions. He also has a special interest in restoring mental health, especially in those suffering from depression, anxiety, or substance abuse.
