Choices Markets’ production Bakery/Kitchen on Marine Way near Boundary Road has an opening for a full-time Baker We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bread Baker to join our team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread, including artisan, sourdough, and specialty loaves, using traditional and innovative techniques.
- Measure, mix, and knead dough according to recipes and production requirements.
- Monitor baking processes to ensure consistent quality, texture, and flavor.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and availability.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new bread recipes and improve existing ones.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Certification in Baking
- 5+years proven experience as a Bread Baker, with expertise in artisan and specialty bread-making techniques in a high-volume facility
- Strong knowledge of dough fermentation, proofing, and baking processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- A passion for baking and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Passionate for keeping high standards in food safe and clean environments
Work Environment
- Early morning shifts may be required.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy bags of flour or other ingredients.
