Our Choices Markets Bakery/Kitchen Commissary has an immediate opening for a
Candidates should have the following:
- Completion of Baking or Pastry course(s) is an asset
- 6 months experience in a commercial scratch bakery
- Ability to lift 25 kg and stand the entire shift
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work consistently; self-motivated and a team plater
- Open availability, including weekends with shifts starting as early as 3:30 a.m. or ending as late as 8pm
- Assist bakers and pastry chefs as needed
- Scooping muffins, cutting cookies, panning buns, pressing doughs, etc
- Baking assortment of goods: cookies, muffins, pies, tarts, buns, etc.
- Packing and accurately record shipments based on order
- Adhering to food safety procedures
- Keeping stock organized and rotated
- Keeping equipment and premises clean and sanitized
