Wellness Manager, F/T, $24/hr

Choices Markets in the lower mainland is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable professional to lead our Wellness Department.

The Wellness Department Manager is responsible for the overall appearance, efficiency, team leadership, and financial performance of the Wellness Department, including vitamins, supplements, and health and beauty products. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances customer service, team development, inventory management, merchandising, and sales performance. A passion for holistic wellness and helping others is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and model exceptional, knowledgeable customer service and respond professionally to customer inquiries
  • Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing Wellness Department
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and stock levels using sales data, movement reports, and customer trends
  • Maintain strong product knowledge, including vendors, brands, promotions, and new or emerging wellness products
  • Request, evaluate, merchandise, feature, or discontinue products based on sales performance and customer feedback
  • Ensure products featured in flyers, promotions, and supplier programs are adequately stocked and displayed
  • Create engaging displays, re-merchandise sections, and use in-store promotions and suggestive selling to drive sales
  • Collaborate with vendors, Choices Markets Head Office, store leadership, and other locations on events and initiatives
  • Lead, train, coach, and schedule department team members in alignment with Choices Markets standards
  • Monitor department performance, staffing levels, and labour needs in partnership with store management
  • Operate a till and support other departments as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for organic food, natural medicine, and holistic wellness
  • Experience in a retail wellness environment or related field
  • Proven leadership ability with experience coaching and mentoring others
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Dependable, energetic, and team-oriented work ethic
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Open availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Experience & Education:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing people
  • Retail management experience considered an asset
  • Experience in a wellness-related industry considered an asset
  • Registered Holistic Nutritionist or equivalent credentials preferred
  • Strong knowledge of vitamins and supplements preferred, with a willingness to learn
  • Education in a related field is an asset
