About the Event
Join us for a thoughtful and informative webinar exploring traditional Indigenous foodways and their significance within contemporary food systems.
Ts’msyen (Tsimshian) Registered Dietitian Rachel Greening and anthropologist Spencer Greening will share insights into the cultural, ecological, and community connections that Indigenous food systems foster. Drawing on their respective expertise in nutrition, Indigenous health, and anthropology, they will discuss how food connects people to land, identity, relationships, and wellbeing.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of traditional harvesting practices, Indigenous food sovereignty, and the ongoing work of decolonizing food systems in Canada.
